Step 1
Head towards the washhouse located behind the Saint-Martin church. Cross the Rodin, a tributary of the Nouère, to climb towards Puyrenaud by the path in the shade of the undergrowth.

Carefully follow the Route des Maréchaux to the right. Turn left at the end until the crow's feet.

Turn left and cross Moraze – see the square tower on the left, remnant of an XNUMXth century dwelling. Go down the white path and turn left at the bottom to climb into the woods then follow the plots of vines with the LGV - high-speed line - in the background.

Take the first path on the right. This descends gently towards Salzines – you can admire many wild orchids on the sides on sunny days. Be careful not to pick these protected species.

Follow the road to the right to enter the village of Salzines. Off course on the left, see the old XNUMXth century mill on the Nouère which housed the Maine Brun hotel-restaurant, which is now closed.
Turn left into rue de la Combe des Dames below and cross the village. Continue on this small road until the bend at a right angle.

Continue opposite then turn left to follow the path towards
of Gouthiers. At the intersection, turn left – see the truffle oaks.

Admire below the road, on the left, the pretty round dovecote, which dates from the 39th century and has XNUMX putlogs (nests) with a rotating interior ladder.
Off course, see the wash house 150 m away.
Take rue des Pierrières on the right to go up towards Le Pessaud. Ignore a path to the right.
After the bend, take a left at the intersection and enjoy a final panoramic view before descending.

Leave the wide path for the path between the hedge and the vine on the right. Follow it in the shade of the trees to the town of Asnières. Come out before the small bridge which spans the Rodin stream.
