L'Isle-d'Espagnac

Step 1
Cross the main street and head for rue Pierre et Marie Curie. Turn left into the impasse du Vieux Chaumontet and walk to the Vieux Chaumontet cross.

Step 2
Turn left then take Rue Victor Hugo on the right. Arrived at the crossroads, cross and go 200 m to turn right into a recreation area. Walk along the Font Noire and return to rue Victor Hugo.

Step 3
Cross the street, bypass the buildings on the right as far as rue François Villon. Turn right and reach the pedestrian crossing on the left. Head left on Boulevard Marguerite de Valois and turn right on Rue Pierre Véry. Continue and turn right into a pedestrian.

Step 4
Rue Calmette, turn right. Turn left behind the retirement home towards the Bois des Mérigots. In the central alley, head left and reach the Gros Chêne Classé. Exit the wood through a small porch, turn right then turn into rue Condorcet.

At the crossroads, turn left and continue to the roundabout. Take avenue Paul Desfarges and turn left onto a path. Take rue Chabernaud and take a path to the left as far as chemin de Lunesse.

Step 6
Head right and turn left, rue Denis Papin. Continue to the first path on the right leading to Font Chauvin, an old fountain from the Middle Ages reserved for lepers. Pass the washhouse and go up the Montbron road to take a steep path among the holm oaks. At the top of the hill, follow the path to the left and go through the forest on the hillside. Step 7
Continue to the left in the forest then follow the edge of the forest to the road, take the pedestrian on the left. Cross the stubble fields to a wooden barrier and head right then left, along the college stadium.

On the avenue, turn left and walk 250 m before taking a path on the right towards Font Noire. Take the small wooden bridge and join the rue de l'étang as far as the avenue de Montbron.

Step 9
Turn right and turn left into Allée du Lac. Enter the wood between two houses. Follow the forest path then continue in a street. At the roundabout, take the second right.

Step 10
Take a path and take a pedestrian on the left towards rue de la Font Noire. Turn right then straight ahead to a crossroads. Turn left then rue des Plantiers (formerly planted with vines) on the left.

Step 11
At the cross, turn left to return to the starting point.
